ESOT First Year School-Based Practitioner Mentor Program

ESOT First Year School-Based Practitioner Mentor Program is a year-long mentorship experience for OTs, COTAs, new grads, and any practitioner in their first year in school-based practice who wants steady guidance and practical support throughout their first year of school practice. From September through June, you’ll build confidence and competence across the full scope of school-based practice, from evaluations, IEP participation, service delivery, documentation, workload systems, collaboration with school teams, and navigating school culture and expectations. The program is designed to help you stay organized, reduce overwhelm, and make sound clinical decisions that fit the educational setting. You’ll receive ongoing learning and support through monthly newsletters, on-demand lecture videos, and small group mentorship circles, giving you timely guidance as the school year unfolds and the flexibility to learn at your own pace. The ESOT Mentor Academy will be offered to align with the First Year School-Based Practitioner Mentor Program to strengthen intentional skills in coaching, professional reasoning, adult learning, communication, leadership, and reflective practice.
