Yvonne Swinth

Yvonne Swinth is an occupational therapist, educator, researcher, and nationally recognized leader in school-based occupational therapy practice. She is a professor at the University of Puget Sound and has more than 30 years of experience working in pediatrics and school-based settings. Her work focuses on evidence-informed practice, participation-focused services, developmental trauma, sensory processing, and effective intervention within naturally occurring school environments. Dr. Swinth is also the founding editor of the Journal of Occupational Therapy, Schools, & Early Intervention and is committed to advancing educationally relevant and collaborative school-based occupational therapy practice through mentorship, scholarship, and professional learning.
