About the event
We will be sharing our work at the International Professional Reasoning Conference, exploring professional reasoning from two complementary perspectives: what changes when reasoning moves from individuals to populations and systems, and how Quality Indicators can scaffold the development of increasingly sophisticated professional reasoning. Together, these presentations invite us to think differently about how professional reasoning is developed, supported, and extended across levels of practice.
Our first presentation entitled, Beyond Scaling Up: Why Systems-Level Professional Reasoning Requires a Different Way of Thinking, will be held on Friday, 9/18 at 3:35. This presentation examines why systems-level practice requires more than simply “scaling up” individual professional reasoning. It explores how reasoning changes as practitioners move from individual cases to patterns, systems, and leverage for change, and considers the implications for how occupational therapists develop, teach, and assess systems-level professional reasoning.
Our Second presentation entitled, Quality Indicators as Cognitive Scaffolds for Educational Professional Reasoning in…
